rotatordiagram.gif (2319 bytes) Powdered samples can frequently be inhomogenous -     their particle size may be large and they may be mixtures. For quantitative work rotation and translation provides an excellent method for averaging the intensity of the Raman signal over a considerable volume. This matter is also covered in Anne De Paepe’s paper cited above.

The SRP series of sample rotators are powered by Li-ion batteries mounted on the accesory itself inside the sample area. The batteries provide extended use (several hours) and can be re-charged at any time. A mains supported charger is supplied.

Some customers will have access to the Ventacon DII Universal Power Supply. This negates the need for a battery powered supply. Ventacon makes available a set of accessories which are supported by the Universal Power Supply. These are cheaper than their battery powered equivalents. The designators are SR-1 and SR-5.

Instrument Type

Ventacon rotators are designed to fit all the commercially available F-T instruments BUT each instrument make uses their own mounting system. YOU MUST THEREFORE TELL US UPON WHICH RAMAN INSTRUMENT(S) YOU WISH TO USE YOUR VENTACON ROTATOR.
