ROTATOR POWER SUPPLY (D3)
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Check the ‘Voltage Select’ switch at the back of the unit. It must be set to the correct mains power supply voltage for the country in which the unit is to be used.
2. Switch the unit on.

ROTATOR

• Plug the cell in to the ‘0-12 V’ socket.
• Set the preferred speed settings as appropriate using the small black knobs.

12V CONST.

• The ‘12V Const.’ output can be used to power any appliance requiring a regulated 12V d.c. power supply up to 2A current rating.
• A suitable plug for this output should be wired as follows:-

In the event of a fuse blowing, a list of replacements is as follows:-

Mains inlet = 1A anti-surge;
12V Const. = 2A semi-delay;
0-12V = 1A semi-delay (x2)

All fuses are 5x20mm types.

NOTES

• Motors - When running the motors will whine. This is normal.
• Rotational Speed - Run experiments at full speed for optimum results.
• Translation Velocity (in 2 axis rotators). Run experiments at half velocity to optimise results.
