NICOLET SAMPLE HOLDING The Nicolet sample mounting system is unique and is based on a stage drilled with three 1/8" diameter vertical holes. Several Ventacon cells can be accommodated directly into this system eg. the Model SR-1 Sample Rotator and the Model C-1 Cryogenic Cell. Some customers have Nicolet equipment and also instruments from other manufacturers such as Perkin Elmer or Bio-Rad. The Series A Nicolet adaptor enables users to fit the range of cells that Ventacon supply on the 3"x2" 'infrared card' system to their Nicolet instruments. Thus the Ventacon cells become applicable to a range of spectrometers. If customers have Bruker equipment and wish to use our cells in their Bruker and other instruments would they please contact us for advice. Where sample heating is a problem, the use of KBr pellets or nujol mulls pressed between potassium chloride/bromide windows is recommended. Nicolet do not provide, as standard, facilities to take cables or tubes
from inside the Raman sample chamber to the laboratory outside but they do provide in some
of their products a 2¼"aperture plugged with a metal obstruction. |
